Success in Schools
The PMG Schools Education Project is now in its 3rd year, giving primary and elementary schools the opportunity to perform as part of the companies many productions. Several schools have already been lined up to take part in the forthcoming dates on The Drifters ‘Masquerade Tour’ and the Unforgettable dates.
Gold Disk Award from Sony Music
The Drifters new album Up On The Roof, released on Sony Music in 2011 has now gone Gold. The album, which included some of the group’s biggest hits from the last five decades plus two new tracks recorded by the current line up. The album reached number #12 in the UK album charts and remained in the charts for several months. New material on the album includes the popular tracks ‘Do You Dream Of Me’ and ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m looking For.’ The album is available to buy in stores and online.
New Shows for 2012
PMG has launched two brand new productions for 2012.
Unforgettable – The hits of the 50’s and 60’s is a classy, concert style musical production that highlights the musical icons of this era – favourite musical legends such as Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Frankie Valley, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, The Beach Boys, The Carpenters, The Beatles and many more . The international cast includes superb lead vocalists Diana Nash and Neil Couperthwaite from the UK, Patrick Maubert from Canada and Kellie Schreiber from the United States.
Heart To Heart: An Evening Of Love Songs is hosted by and features Michael Williams and guests and includes some of Michael’s own material from his recent album ‘Find Your Wings’ featuring Kellie Schreiber and his new album as well as classic love songs from the last few decades.
Alex Joins The Team
PMG would like to welcome Alex Hinton to the PMG Team. Alex has joined the company in the capacity of tour manager for the brand new production ‘Unforgettable – The hits of the 50’s and 60’s’ and will also be working with the company in the office on project based CAD design. Alex also brings with him his superb talents in photography. Check out Alex’s photography work at www.alexhinton.co.uk. Alex will be working out of the company’s head office in Shropshire from next month.
Dan Healey Joins the PMG Team
PMG is delighted to welcome Dan Healey to the PMG management team. Dan, a graduate in Music Performance from Wolverhampton University is also a lecturer in Music Performance and Popular Music, bringing with him vast experience to the company. Dan will be working in the area of 'Artist Development' reporting to Kathy Mashadi. Dan will work out of the company’s Head Office in Shropshire.
